Counselling for Connection, Relationships & Personal Growth in Vienna & Online
Find connection, authenticity, and wholehearted aliveness - wherever you are in the world.
Early experiences can touch every part of your life: how you feel, how you relate, and how you understand yourself.
NARM® (NeuroAffective Relational Model®) is a non-pathologising, development-oriented approach. I use elements of NARM® in psychosocial counselling to help uncover and change patterns shaped by relationship experiences, emotional neglect, relational wounds and lifelong survival strategies.
As a life and social counsellor, I offer psychosocial counselling and support based on philosophical dialogue, as well as psychological counselling in accordance with Section 119 of the Trade Regulation Act (GewO).
In philosophical dialogue, I use targeted questions to develop personal and existential insights and apply them to specific life issues. I utilise the NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model) within the framework of depth psychology and psychodynamically oriented counselling to help clients recognise and better understand unconscious inner processes and relationship patterns in their present-day experience.
In addition, I use integrative methods with a humanistic-existential orientation that support self-awareness, personal development, personal responsibility, and self-actualisation. My services are aimed at mentally healthy individuals and do not constitute psychotherapy or treatment for mental health conditions; I make no promises of a cure and, where necessary, refer clients to the relevant medical or psychotherapeutic specialist services.
The Trade Regulation Act covers psychological counselling but expressly excludes psychotherapy.[1][2]
What is NARM®?
The NeuroAffective Relational Model®
NARM® is a mind–body approach that works with the relational patterns that arise from early emotional experiences – without labels or diagnoses. It integrates principles from attachment theory, polyvagal theory, somatic psychology, Gestalt work, and psychodynamic approaches.
I use elements from NARM® in my psychosocial counselling and a resource-oriented approach for developing potential and the prevention of disorders.
-
Understand and unwind lifelong survival patterns
-
Reconnect with your true self
-
Reduce shame and self-blame
-
Build emotional regulation and resilience
-
Strengthen your capacity for intimacy, trust, and connection
-
Rediscover a sense of aliveness, presence, and joy
In this work, previous survival strategies are acknowledged and explored, while the ability for self-regulation (on both psychological and physical levels) is strengthened. This expands the capacity for contact with self and with others.
Joy of life, strength, vitality, and freedom are rediscovered and become tangible.
How the NARM® approach works
1. We explore what truly matters to you
Change begins with a simple, profound question:
“What do you really want for yourself?”
This helps uncover authentic desires beneath the layers of survival strategies.
2. We work with both the mind and the body
NARM® combines: Bottom-up awareness: sensations, feelings, & the body’s responses Top-down clarity: thoughts, meaning & emotional understanding
Working with both creates deep, lasting change.
3. Protective patterns can be released with compassion
These patterns once kept you safe. Now, they may keep you stuck.
NARM® helps gently unravel them without shame.
4. Your capacity for aliveness is rebuilding
As obstacles soften, people naturally move toward connection, vitality, and inner freedom.
NARM® supports you in rediscovering this innate movement toward health.

The Neuroaffective Relationship Model®, (NARM®)
NARM® – the NeuroAffective Relational Model™ – is a development-oriented, non-pathologising approach developed by Dr. Laurence Heller. It explores how early relational experiences shape identity, connection and the way we handle stress – without labels or diagnoses.
NARM® draws on attachment theory, polyvagal theory, Gestalt, cognitive, somatic and psychodynamic approaches. I use elements of NARM® as a counselling- and resource-oriented method within psychosocial counselling.
